The 1st XI suffered a 3 – 1 Home defeat against the talented table toppers Richmond & Kew FC.
In the first half hour it showed that 6 weeks had passed since the last Ruts game! A sloppy early goal was conceded before R&K doubled their tally making it 2 – 0 to them at the break.
The Ruts second half performance was much improved, but despite this fact, a fortuitously sliced own goal enabled the score to become 0 – 3. Billy Liffen then scored a cracking goal to reduce to the arrears and that was as good as the OR’s day was to get!
In the absence of our Managers Mappy & Tidey, Stand in Manager Paul Gough gave Will Mortimer the MOTM nod.
The 2nd XI did not have a fixture today.
The jubilant 3rd XI secured a fantastic 1 – 0 at Old Boys Clapham Res FC. Richard Woolland (pictured) was the Ruts scorer and MOTM.
The 4th XI lost 2 -1 at Westside ‘A’ FC. MOTM TBC, Simon Minihane notched the Ruts consolation.
Best Wishes to the Ruts teams playing tomorrow.
