The 1st XI lost 3 – 2 at Home to Old Boys Clapham FC this afternoon. The Ruts slumped 2 goals behind within 10 minutes of the start! before impressively levelling up by the 20th Minute.

The Ruts 1st goal came in the 11th minute when a Toby Lempriere shot was only half parried by the visiting keeper, and the alert Chris Henry slotted home to reduce the arrears.

The OR’s then levelled with a crisp goal and finish on 20 mins, as Dan Creasey won the ball back before doing a neat ‘one two’ with Sam Leatherby, who set up Adam Randall who swiftly drove goalward before firing home.

Frustratingly, the decisive goal of the match was born from our own undoing on the cusp of halftime, as a reckless challenge gifted the Visitors a Penalty, which they duly converted ultimately securing them the 3 points on the day.

The ‘A’ Team drew 1 – 1 with AFC North Leatherhead. Tony Furneaux scored for the OR’s, whilst Keeper Mike Lowe was MOTM.

The ‘B’ Team hit Dorking Cobblers FC for 6. The Ruts MOTM was Alex Blenkinsop as he smashed in 5 goals, whilst Liam Washford-Bent notched the other Goal.
