Results Round Up – Saturday 31st October 2020.

The 1st XI eventually overcame a dogged Whitton Villains to win 1 – 0 at Poplar Road earlier today. To be honest this was not the prettiest of games, as both sides struggled to get much flowing football going and both teams largely nullified the other one out for large periods.

However, 5 minutes from time a good team move involving a number of players ended with Billy Liffen firing home the Ruts winner with a decent strike to secure all 3 points and the OR’s MOTM award.

The 2nd XI match was postponed away.

The 3rd XI obtained a much improved Score-line, although they lost the match versus NPL ‘A’ FC 5 – 4, despite leading at times during the match. The Ruts Scorers were Mark Todd, Ciaran Moorhouse, Sam Hobbs and Pierce Gleeson. Robbie Larcombe was the OR’s MOTM.

The resurgent 4th XI secured a very decent 2 – 1 win at South London Elite FC, thanks to Goals from Andy Flanagan and Jason Hughes. A big shout out to the Ruts Record Appearance Holder & MOTM Craig Lyle for saving a Penalty!

Best wishes to the Ruts Junior Teams tomorrow
