Results Round Up – Saturday 8th October 2016

The 1st XI secured a comfortable 8 – 0 home win in the League Cup over Southwark Borough today, as the team ran rampantly goal crazy. The goals came courtesy of a hatrick from Zak Graham, with his pick of the bunch being a deft lob over the keeper. In addition, the Ruts can thank a rasping brace from Graham Rolfe, plus decent strikes from Paul Mears, Billy Liffen and Duncan Fraser.

The 2nd XI went 2 goals up ahead of the interval at Chessington KCFC Res. Alas for the Ruts, the hosts secured a 2 – 2 draw thanks to two second half goals. The Ruts first half goals came via Andre Robinson and Steve Berry.

The 3rd XI had a tough day despite a few decent individual player performances, as they went down 1 – 5 at Nursery Road to Oxted & District Res. The Ruts goal came via Richard Edmonds.

The 4th XI remain unbeaten after 4 x KDFL games (1 win and 3 draws), although they are proving themselves as high scoring draw specialists! this time it was 5 – 5, after a 4 – 4 and a 3 – 3 in earlier weeks! The Ruts goals came via a hatrick from young Harry Reeder, plus further goals from Dean Riordan and Sam Maclean.

Results Round Up – Saturday 1st of October 2016.

The Ruts still await their first clean sweep of the Season as the 1st XI were held to a goalless draw at Poplar Road today against Hayes Town. It was a tight and closely contested match overall, although the Ruts had the best chances of the day with a Nick Raggett rasper well saved by the visiting keeper and a Zak Graham effort smashing against the post.

The 2nd XI went down 2 – 1 away to NPL Res. Ollie Hicks notched the Ruts goal.

The 3rd XI secured a great 2 -1 win away in the cup, as they saw of higher league opposition OBCFC. Scorers tbc. The hosts reduced the arrears in the final moments.

The 4th XI secured their first competitive victory after two successive draws as they beat Hook Venturers this afternoon. Aaron Betteridge (2) Myles Wiltshire and Harry Reeder scored the Ruts goals. Well done men.

Best wishes to the Vets and Juniors tomorrow.

Results Round-Up – Saturday 24th September 2016

The 1st XI secured a convincing 7 – 0 away win in the league versus Fulham Deaf with the goals coming from seven different sources via Zak Graham, Duncan Fraser, Reece Jackson, Nick Raggett,, Paul Mears, Billy Liffen and Paul Whitthread.

The 2nd XI finally secured their first win of the campaign at the 4th attempt, thanks to goals from Player Manager Kyle Moore and the all-important winner, courtesy of an Ollie Hicks, penalty which proved enough to earn all 3 points against Shaftesbury Town at Poplar Road.

The 3rd XI suffered the Ruts only defeat of the day as their depleted squad went down 5 – 0 at division leaders Kingsbrook. Credit to the lads though, as they had a couple of players with knocks starting the match and then had to play out the second period with just 10 men.

The largely youthful 4th XI drew 4 – 4 against Chessington KCFC in a game they could have won. The lads held the lead at 2 – 0 and 3 – 1, before finding themselves level at 3 – 3 and eventually going behind to a completely fortuitous and undeserved own goal. Fortunately the teams overall effort was rewarded with a late equaliser. The Ruts goals came via Myles Wiltshire, Lewis Colebrook, Harry Reeder and Casey Vickery.

Best wishes to the Vets and Junior teams tomorrow.

Results Round-Up – Saturday 17th September 2016

The 1st XI’s away match was cancelled late morning owing to a waterlogged pitch.

The 2nd XI were comprehensively beaten by a very strong Wanderers team as they went down 1 – 7 at home. The Ruts solitary goal came from Andre Robinson.

The 3rd XI also suffered a defeat as they lost 2 – 0 away to Merton Social Reserves.

Which ultimately left Boo-Boo’s newly reformed 4th XI to deliver some bacon in their first game since 2001. The team made up of some Ruts old-timers and a lot of 16 year olds drew 3 – 3 with the goals coming via a Myles Wiltshire brace and a Freddy Paterson strike. Great effort lads.

Best wishes to the Vets and Junior teams tomorrow.
