The 1st XI secured a convincing 7 – 0 away win in the league versus Fulham Deaf with the goals coming from seven different sources via Zak Graham, Duncan Fraser, Reece Jackson, Nick Raggett,, Paul Mears, Billy Liffen and Paul Whitthread.
The 2nd XI finally secured their first win of the campaign at the 4th attempt, thanks to goals from Player Manager Kyle Moore and the all-important winner, courtesy of an Ollie Hicks, penalty which proved enough to earn all 3 points against Shaftesbury Town at Poplar Road.
The 3rd XI suffered the Ruts only defeat of the day as their depleted squad went down 5 – 0 at division leaders Kingsbrook. Credit to the lads though, as they had a couple of players with knocks starting the match and then had to play out the second period with just 10 men.
The largely youthful 4th XI drew 4 – 4 against Chessington KCFC in a game they could have won. The lads held the lead at 2 – 0 and 3 – 1, before finding themselves level at 3 – 3 and eventually going behind to a completely fortuitous and undeserved own goal. Fortunately the teams overall effort was rewarded with a late equaliser. The Ruts goals came via Myles Wiltshire, Lewis Colebrook, Harry Reeder and Casey Vickery.
Best wishes to the Vets and Junior teams tomorrow.
