Results Round Up – Saturday 13th January 2018.

The 1st XI Won 4 – 3 at AMY FC in the League earlier today. Despite being on top in the early stages the Ruts conceded twice in the half, finding themselves 2 – 0 down before regrouping and emphatically turning the half on it’s head by scoring 4 times before the interval.


Zac Graham reduced the arrears from the spot after earning the penalty himself and Chris Beard then struck two terrific raspers following neat interplay. Billy Liffen also struck impressively ending another decent move.


The second period was less eventful which saw the hosts reduce their arrears to 4 – 3 from the penalty spot.


The 2nd XI suffered the Ruts only defeat of the day as they went down 2 – 1 at Home to AFC Ewell. Paul Gough scored the OR’s goal.

The 3rd XI secured an impressive point against Parkside Reserves in a top v bottom clash. Darren Bloomfield scored the OR’s all important goal.

The 4th XI notched an impressive 8 – 2 Win at Thornton Heath FC. Scorers TBC

The 2nd XI are at Home to AFC Ewell Res in the League. Kick Off is at 2.00pm.


The 3rd XI are Home to Parkside Reserves FC in the Legue. Venue: Wimbledon Common Extensions. Pitch 3. Kick Off is at 2.00pm.

The 4th XI are Away to Thornton Heath FC in the League. Venue: Nursery Rd Rec,South Wimbledon. Kick Off is at 1.30pm.

On Sunday the Vets are Away to Grunwald Vets. Kick Off is at 10.30am. Venue TBC.

Vets Result – Sunday 7th January 2018

The Vets ran out 3-1 winners at home against Bocca Vets. Without a Goalie player manager Lee ‘Trigger’ Poulter took a turn between the sticks and held on to a clean sheet before going off injured after an hour.


The 1st goal came courtesy of a returning Ruts legend Paul Hull who calmly slotting past the keeper. Hull added a second for his brace and Billy Finnis scored the other goal.


IMan of the match with an assured display at centre half was Graham ‘Bernie’ Winter.

Results Round Up – Saturday 6th January 2018.

The 1st XI beat Epsom Athletic FC 11 – 0 at Poplar Road today. Remarkably the half time scoreline was 9 – 0 as the Ruts ran rampant with a first half Hatrick from Captain Chris Beard, braces from Paul Whitthread & Billy Liffen, plus additional strikes from Graham Rolfe and Zak Graham.


A shortened second half saw the Ruts add two further goals courtesy of Zak Graham which completed his Hatrick.


The 4th XI worked hard in their tough encounter against table topping Old Isleworthians, although they eventually went down 6 – 0.

The 1st XI are at Home to Epsom Athletic FC. Kick Off is at 2.00pm.

The 2nd XI Match at Chessington KC FC Reserves is OFF owing to a waterlogged pitch.


The 3rd XI have a week off.
The 4th XI are Home to Old Isleworthians FC. Venue: Tudor Drive, Morden SM4 4PN. Kick
Off is at 2.00pm.
On Sunday the Vets are at Home to Bocca Vets. Kick Off is at 10.30am.

Christmas & New Year Schedule.

The Club will be open every evening as usual and all day at the Weekends. The only exceptions to this are Christmas Day (12 – 2pm) and Boxing Day (11 – 5) for the Rugby Match v Old Wimbledonians.


Football wise we have an Inter Club match on Weds 27th, KO at 1.00pm and the Bar will be open from midday.


On Saturday the 30th the Youth Section have Parents v Kids matches arranged and all members are welcome and encouraged to join us for a drink on either or both dates.


On New Years Eve there will be a Disco in the downstairs Bar (until late) with the Internationally renowned Super DJ Skilts !

The 1st and 4th XI’s had a day off.


The 2nd XI Drew 2 – 2 Away to Westside Res FC. Ben Kennett and Will Mortimer scored for the Ruts.


The 3rd XI suffered another disappointing defeat as they went down 6 – 1 at Refresh FC. Rhys Waul scored the OR’s consolation.
