Just the one match today, as the 1st XI travelled to Chelsea Rovers for their final game of a frustrating stop / start / opposition failing to fulfil fixtures type of Season.

The Ruts rustiness in the first half was evident after a 5 week lay off and the Hosts took advantage of their first half wind to clinically fire home 3 goals for a decent lead at the Interval.

However, with the cobwebs well and truly blown off at half time, the second half saw the Ruts put in a vastly improved team shift, and the lads pulled two goals back courtesy of Aaron Burke after sterling work and a pin point cross from Billy Liffen.

Sam Leatherby then scored directly from a wind assisted Corner despite the footage looking like Ashley Daly may have scored!

Adam Randall received the Gaffer’s MOTM nod for a tireless box to box display in the heart of the engine room.

The 1st, 3rd, 4th and Sunday XI’s Seasons are now finished and just the 2nd XI and Walking Football teams continue with playing fixtures.
