The 1st XI lead twice in this match, before finally having to settle for a share of the spoils at Home to Wanderers FC this afternoon.
Both teams had plenty of chances during the match, so in reality a point each was not an unfair result overall. However, that said when you are 2 – 1 up in normal time, you would really hope to see out the game and secure a win!
Alex Blenkinsop cleverly put the Ruts ahead on 32 minutes as he alertly intercepted a pass and slotted home securing the interval lead.
Wanderers levelled on 68 mins, although in truth they were handed their equaliser on a plate following a defensive mix up.
The Ruts restored their lead in the 77th minute when Kyle Moore’s bullet header from a Paul Gough corner was firmly despatched. Alas, a late dismissal for the OR’s on 94 mins was perhaps a partial contributor to the visitors equaliser a minute later.
Ruts Keeper Evan Watson was the home MOTM which highlights how end to end this affair was.
The 2nd XI went down 4 – 2 at Sutton High FC, despite leading 2 nil at the break courtesy of a Kevin Foster brace. Apparently this was quite a heated game and the Ruts eventually succumbed 4 – 2. Whitto was our MOTM.
The 3rd XI did not have a Fixture.
The 4th XI had a bad day at the Office as their aging legs suffered a 6 – 0 defeat at Motspur Park ‘A’ FC. Manager Yilmaz’s report consisted of one 4 letter word.
The over 50’s Walking Football Team had an enjoyable Session at Goals, Tolworth this morning with 5 new players participating.

Best Wishes to the Ruts teams playing tomorrow.
