The 1st XI secured their first win of the Season as they emphatically overcame MWE FC at Poplar Road earlier today in an impressive 8 – 0 win, balancing their goal difference in the process.

1-0 – Paul Gough, a firm header from a Fabio Bagulho Corner on 22mins
2-0 – Sam Leatherby, great strike from the edge of the box following a lay off from Paul Whitthread on 25mins
3-0 – Fabio Bagulho left foot shot from the centre of the box,from a Leatherby assist on 41mins
4-0 – A second Leatherby goal from a tight angle, after he collected his own rebound on 57mins
5-0 – Alex Curme, a firm shot from the edge of the box into the bottom corner from a Leatherby assist on 60mins
6-0 – Adam Randall strike from the edge of box.from a Leatherby assist on 63mins
7-0 – Will Mortimer from close range from a Washford Bent assist on 65 mins
8-0 – Sam Leatherby then struck again for a deserved hattrick collecting the MOTM award on 85 mins
The 2nd XI bowed out of the Cup as they went down 4 – 2 away at Sporting 50 Reserves FC . Aaron Sandys and Mark Todd scored the Ruts Goals.
The 3rd XI suffered an 8 – 1 reverse in the Cup, going down 8 – 1 to Oxted & District Reserves FC. Billy Finnis notched the OR’s consolation.
Our Walking Football Team secured a fine 2 – 0 Victory against Exiles FC in the morning KO. The Ruts Goals came courtesy of a Paul Cook Penalty and a powerful long- ranger from debutant Martyn Jones. Dave Ruddock and Ray Kinsella also made impressive WF Ruts debuts. A special mention too for John Walker our nimble Cat, for another sterling No 1 display between the sticks.
