The 1st XI were on the cusp of earning all 3 points at Most Wanted Elite FC last Saturday having lead 1 – 0 for virtually all of the 2nd half, courtesy of a well taken Goal from MOTM Billy Liffen. However, a late sting in the tail put a major dent in the Ruts title ambitions as follows.

This was a very tough and often feisty match on a poor pitch, which made it hard for both teams throughout the afternoon. After securing the lead soon after the interval the OR’s were looking good to secure a narrow win, only for the Hosts to snatch a very late leveller in the final few seconds! That’s football for you. We go again next week against the new League Leaders.

The 2nd XI secured a 2 – 1 Victor at Wilf Kroucher FC, Ruts MOTM Steve Berry and Sam Leatherby scored the Ruts all important goals.

The 3rd XI went down 3 – 0 to Sporting 50 Res FC with Darren Bloomfield earning the Ruts MOTM Award.

The 4th XI put in a strong display against League Leaders Home Purley Old Boys FC, frustratingly they were undone 1 – 0, by a 85th minute powerfully headed goal, which ultimately secured all 3 points for the Visitors.. Manager Erol Yilmaz awarded Steve Rowlands the OR’s MOTM.
