The 1st XI secured a welcome win at Spartans Youth today, thanks to a Zak Graham super hatrick. Zak opened the scoring with a deft lob on 29 seconds, only for the hosts to equalise in the 31st minute.
Zak restored the OR’s lead from the penalty spot in the 51st minute and soon after he struck for his hatrick with a left foot shoot in the bottom corner.
Spartans reduced the arrears late on leaving the Ruts to see out the final minutes resolutely to secure the all important 3 points.
The 2nd XI also gained a decent win as they overcame Epsom and Ewell Colts 5 – 1. The Ruts goals came courtesy of Dean Riordan, Kevin Foster, Joe Baker, Fabio Bagulho & Paul Whitthread .
The predominantly youthful 4th XI’s starting line up saw 9 teenagers on the field, with 3 or 4 more on the bench. Unfortunately the lads went down 4 – 1, with Jamie Eyres notching the OR’s late consolation. New Manager Chris Bain will be keen to get the lads used to Mens football in the coming weeks. Onwards and Upwards.
Best wishes to the Junior Teams tomorrow.
