Old Ruts Football Club

Old Rutlishians AFC (Old Ruts) is made up of ex-pupils of Rutlish School, amateur sportsman from the local community and the friends and relatives of existing players. It was reformed after a 58 year absence in the summer of 1990 having originally run from 1907 until 1932 when it folded after being replaced by Rugby as the popular winter sport at the Old Rutlishians

Results Round Up – Saturday 27th October 2018.

The 1st XI won 4 – 1 at Tooting Bec Res FC. The Ruts conceded an early goal before striking back courtesy of goals from Jimmy & Zak Graham. Zak then added two second half goals to complete a well earned hatrick, The pick of his trio was an impressive 25 yard free-kick.

The 2nd XI had a day to forget, as they went down 1 – 6 at home to Woodmansterne Hyde FC in the League Cup. Gary Wilton apparently hit a belter, which provided the Ruts with a scant consolation.

The 3rd XI put in a much improved and morale boosting performance at Woking & Maybury FC in the Surrey
Lower Junior Cup, finally going down 1 – 0 to a penalty goal from the Hosts.

The 4th XI had a week off.
