Results Round Up – Saturday 20th October 2018.

The 1st XI put in a solid performance playing with a decent tempo for over an hour, which enabled their first half efforts to earn a prominent 3 goal interval lead against Frenches Athletic FC.

The Ruts goals came from Duncan Fraser, Zak Graham and the pick of the trio was Jimmy Graham’s sublime strike. The OR’s also hit the woodwork 4 times, with 3 first half strikes and a great effort from Captain Chris Beard in the final stages, which was worthy of a goal.

This was a keenly contested match, with a fair few cards being shown to both teams. Unfortunately, 2 Ruts players received second yellows in the latter stages of the game meaning the OR’s had to really dig in to preserve the lead their hard work had achieved. However, the Visitors did manage to pull a late goal back, to make the final score 3 – 1.

The 2nd XI went down 2 – 1 away to Hersham FC in the Surrey Junior Cup. The 2s also suffered a Red as Kyle Moore was harshly dismissed which left the OR’s to play over an hour with 10 men. Bradley Szreider notched for the Ruts.

The 3rd XI went down 4 – 1 at Merton Social ‘A’ FC. The OR’s goal was an OG and the team will urgently be looking to turn their campaign around at the earliest opportunity.

The 4th XI lost 6 – 2 to Brentford Freedom FC. Dean Riordan and Steve Berry were the Ruts Scorers.

Best wishes to the Ruts Youth Junior teams tomorrow.
