Results Round Up – Saturday 11th February 2017.

The 1st XI overcame Westminster Casuals in the League with a comprehensive 5 – 0 victory today. A stunning 25 yard strike from Graham Rolfe put the Ruts ahead on the 30 minute mark, as his power drive smashed in to the net off of the inside of the post.
Michael Beard then doubled the OR’s lead, before Duncan Fraser headed in from close range on the verge of half time.

In the second period Paul Mears made his mark in emphatic fashion as he notched a goal himself and also crossed exquisitely for top scorer Zac Graham to head home. The only dampener of the day is the ongoing foot injury hampering the Ruts long term talisman Nick Raggett.

The 2nd XI felt harshly done by as they went down 1 – 0 away to Motspur Park FC. The initial grapevine rumour reaching us is that the damaging goal came via a flukey handball!

The 3rd XI had a day to forget as they went down 3 – 0 to Tooting Bec ‘A’ in the Geoff Ellis Cup. A very early debated red card saw the Ruts down to 10 men and a further Red card (for 2 x yellows) saw the OR’s finish the game with just 9 men.

The 4th XI secured a fine 7 – 2 win over Chessington KCFC ‘B’ in the KDFL Joe Hankin Cup thanks to a super 4 goal haul from Miles Wiltshire and further goals from Harry Reeder, Austin Adams and Lewis Colebrook.

Best wishes to the Vets and Junior teams tomorrow.
