Plenty of goals around this weekend despite the blustery conditions.
The 1st XI secured a convincing 4 – 1 victory over SCR Reserves with a deft first half lob from Zac Graham providing the Ruts a well deserved interval lead. Keeper Adam Seymour fired a long range free-kick from his own half after the break and the keeper could only parry the ball before it went in. The hosts then reduced the arrears briefly, before Jimmy Graham converted from the spot and Zac Graham fired home a late free-kick for his brace to wrap things up.
The 2nd XI beat WKFC 3 – 2 thanks to a Steve Berry brace and an Ollie Hicks strike (his 6th goal of a net-busting afternoon!) Thanks and well done to all of the players who played in both this, and the earlier internal match.
The early kick-off of the day saw much changed teams for the 3rd and 4th XI’s. Jake Lennard put the 4ths ahead and Ollie Hicks struck twice to provide the 3rds with a 2 – 1 interval lead. The 3rds then increased their lead to 3 – 1 through goaltabulous Hicks, before Sam Maclean promptly converted well for the 4th’s
Jake Lennard then slotted his brace to level the game at 3 – 3. Three late goals then sealed a 6 – 3 victory for the 3rd XI. Another duo by Hicks and a long ranger from Kyle Moore doing the damage. Well done to Ollie on his 5 goal haul, which was added to in the later game.I guess that’s two jugs he has to buy?
