The Club’s tough campaign and severe shortage of any good fortune was in full swing today as the 1st XI went down 3 – 2 at home in a close & very competitive match against Puretown. Bezza gave the Ruts the lead twice and the OR’s lead 2 – 1 at the interval. The visitors levelled from a penalty and snatched a late winner in the closing stages of injury time. The Ruts put in a decent shift and deserved a point for their efforts. Alas, the footballing gods thought otherwise.
The 2nd XI apparently lost and we are awaiting confirmation of the score.
The 3rd XI bowed out of the Cup 6 – 0. Well done to Erol for managing to get a team out yet again. I owe him a pint.
Roll on 2015/16!!
