Congratulations to the 1st XI for retaining the League Title despite finishing their own campaign 2 weeks ago.
The outcome literally went to the wire, as the result of the Hanworth Sports v Old Plymouthians Game was to determine if the title went to Hanworth, or if it came back to Poplar Road. Old Plyms went 2 – nil ahead before Hanworth notched 2 late goals in a long second half! However, they needed all 3 points from the match, which meant the draw enabled the OR’s to secure the Intermediate Division One Title. Well done to them on running us to the absolute end.
Together with the Surrey Intermediate Cup this completes a terrific double for the team.
Thank you to those of you who attended our AGM.
We still have a few key gaps to fill and hopefully, some able Volunteers will throw their hats in the ring! All of the jigsaw pieces need to slot into place for everything to work smoothly.

This is the last game of our season!
The 3rd XI are Away to Trinity FC. Venue: Croydon Postal Sports & Social Club, Trenham Drive, Warlingham, CR6 9RU .Kick Off is at 2.00pm.
Best wishes to the lads in this match.
The Ruts suffered a classic case of ‘a bad day at the Office’ as the 1st XI failed to click in to gear and were incredibly poor by their own standards for most of the afternoon, especially in the first half by all accounts, as they went down 4 – 3 away at Hanworth Sports FC this afternoon.
Largely on the back foot the OR’s went 2 goals down before Duncan Fraser reduced the deficit. The OR’s then went 3 – 1 and 4 – 2 behind with Fraser adding his second and Zak Graham claiming the Ruts 3rd.
The Ruts second half was made harder by the early and very unusual sending off of Billy Liffen, which meant the Ruts had to see out most of the half with 10 men.
Well done to Hanworth who can now claim the title if they secure maximum points in their final 3 games. However, if they drop any points at all then the Title will head to Poplar Road. So the outcome could possibly last until the final day of the season on the 12th of May. It may well be a long drumroll!
Apparently the 2nd XI went down 5 – 0 at Woodmansterne Hyde, although we are awaiting definite confirmation if the scoreline is correct.
Onwards and upwards.
The 1st XI secured a vital 3 points in their quest to retain the Title, as they travelled to Wandgas Sports FC this evening for a game incurring bright sun, heavy rain and hailstones.
Clever footwork and a mazy run saw Jimmy Graham put the OR’s into a 9th minute lead, although it’s fair to say that the hosts created plenty of chances themselves, forcing a superb stop from Seymore in the OR’s goal and his assured handling on the skiddy surface enabled the OR’s to retain the first half lead. That said, the Ruts continued to create chances for themselves.
However, it took until the 70th minute when a clever interception from Jake Hill saw him feed a pass to Zak Graham, who in turn fed it on to Chris Beard, who’s effort found it’s way into the net at the far post. Good positioning from the Ref ensured the goal was given.
Despite plenty of chances at both ends the Ruts gained the all important victory, with the Hosts edging first half chances and the Ruts the second half.
Unfortunately the 3rd XI’s torrid campaign saw them offically relegated, as they went down 3 – 1 away to Warlingham FC with one game still to play on the 5th of May. Kyle Moore hit the Ruts consolation. Onwards and upwards.
Best wishes to the teams in action this coming weekend.
