Two mixed Club XI’s played Wanderers AFC in back-to-back Games yesterday afternoon.
In the first game the young talented Jaiden Trevelyen notched his first Senior Hatrick in what was only his second adult game. His first goal was a finely executed 20 yarder, which gave the Away keeper zero chance. The second goal was a Penalty in the bottom corner, whilst his all-important third goal was a deft glancing header from a Corner. Trevelyen (pictured) deservedly earned the Ruts MOTM award to boot.
Ashley Juett finished the Ruts scoring with a fine solo run through the Wanderers defence before slotting home. Young Keeper Keiran Smith also put in a decent display with several important saves. Final score 4 – 0.
In the second match the Ruts overcame Wanderers Reserves 2 – 1 thanks to goals from the effervescent Paul Whitthread and Steve Berry. Young full back Luke Morgan was the Ruts MOTM, closely followed by stand in Keeper Christian Cittie.
